§ Mr. Denis HowellI understand there are no plans at present to establish a statutory nature reserve at Clifton Moss. The Greater Manchester Council, which is currently negotiating the purchase of the land for use as open space has, however, consulted the Nature Conservancy Council and local conservation organisations on ways to improve the wildlife of the area.
