§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what estimate he has made of the likely expansion or contraction of the supply of tied cottages if the Rent (Agriculture) Bill becomes law.
§ Mr. ArmstrongI do not expect the Bill in itself to have a significant effect on the supply of agricultural tied cottages, since it combines security of housing for farm workers with an obligation on housing authorities to use their best endeavours to rehouse ex-workers in cases of agricultural need.
