§ Mr. Craigenasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, further to his reply on 25th June 1976 regarding Glasgow District Council's scheme for the establishment of community councils, he can now state when approval either in part or in whole will be given to the proposals.
§ Mr. MillanGlasgow district's community councils scheme is necessarily very complex, and the district submitted with it 138 outstanding representations; subsequently, I received 23 more. These require careful consideration, and I am sorry that I cannot yet forecast when approval can be expected. Many of the provisions must be considered in relation to the district as a whole, and approval to parts is not practicable.
