§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will seek powers to make it mandatory for local authorities to observe the conditions regarding tenancy agreements which were laid down in the House of Lords judgment in the case of Irwin v. Liverpool City Council, details of which have been sent to him by the hon. Member for Liverpool, Scotland Exchange.
§ Mr. FreesonI am aware that conditions of tenancy cause a great deal of dissatisfaction in many local authority areas. My Department's Housing Services Advisory Group is examining the subject, and when I have its advice I shall consider what new action is needed.
