asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in view of the shortage of polio vaccine in some areas, he will take action to make sure that polio vaccine is freely available in all areas; and if he will make a statement.

I am informed that there is no shortage of poliomyelitis vaccine at the present time. If my hon. Friend has any specific instance in mind and will

(2) how many aids have been supplied to elderly and disabled people by local authorities in England in each of the last five years; and what rate each figure represents per 1,000 population.
