HC Deb 26 July 1976 vol 916 c93W
Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what will be the impact of the Government's revised target date for getting inflation down to single figures, on the assumptions and recommendations of the Ryder Report.

Mr. Les Huckfield

I will reply to the hon. Member as soon as possible.

Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he has reassessed the assumptions on inflation made in Annex 14.1 of the Ryder Report in the light of current success in meeting targets for a reduction in the rate of inflation.

Mr. Les Huckfield

I am advised by the National Enterprise Board that British Leyland's latest long-term plan incorporates a revised set of assumptions about future inflation rates which they consider to be realistic.
