§ The Prime MinisterThe Secretary of State for Employment is responsible for the work both of his Department and,544W within the terms of relevant legislation, of the commissions and agencies concerned with employment matters. These have a wide range of functions, including the development and administration of policies on manpower, industrial relations, incomes, training, safety and health at work, discrimination in employment on grounds of race or sex and administration of unemployment benefit.
