§ Dr. OwenThere are no institutions within the National Health Service which can properly be so described. The new national training and studies centre for the National Health Service at Harrogate is designed to provide training for senior staff of all disciplines who have management responsibilities. It has 53 residential training places but can where appropriate accommodate conferences of up to 100. It currently employs 34 training and other staff. Its estimated annual running cost is £235,000.
