§ Mr. Gregor MacKenzie590 offers of assistance have been made in Scotland under Section 7 of the Industry Act since that Act came into force. The value of the offers total £36.5 million in loans, £33.4 million in interest relief grants and £1.3 million in removal and service industry grants. The total number of new jobs forecast as being created by the assisted projects is 52,000 and a further 8,000 jobs are being safeguarded.
