§ Mr. John SilkinMy right hon. Friend has not directed the county council to establish a caravan site. He has directed that it should proceed with its own proposal for a site, following an objection to him from the Epsom and Ewell Borough Council under Section 8 of the Caravan Sites Act 1968. This direction does not override the normal planning procedures.
