HC Deb 20 July 1976 vol 915 c414W
Mr. Cordle

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many building trade workers are presently unemployed in southern England; and how this position compares with July 1975 and July 1974, respectively.

Mr. Golding

In the South-East and South-West Regions the numbers registered as unemployed who last worked in the construction industry were 20,061 at July 1974 and 43,693 at July 1975. The figure for July 1976 is not yet available and I will circulate it later in theOfficial Report.
