§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will give, for the longest and most convenient stated period of time, the number of bodies which have been flown into Great Britain on behalf of British citizens for burial from stated countries overseas; who paid for these removals; and what official or other positions were held by these deceased persons.
§ Mr. LuardThe Foreign and Commonwealth Office does not keep a record of the bodies flown back to this country on behalf of British citizens. Nor could the information requested be obtained from the records of the registrars of births and deaths in England and Wales without disproportionate expense.
