§ Rev. Ian Paisleyasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the total amount of grants paid to families from outside Northern Ireland who have settled in the new city of Craigavon.
§ Mr. ConcannonI assume that the hon. Member is referring to grants paid under the Resettlement Services Act (NI) 1971 to families moving their homes from places outside Northern Ireland directly to the Craigavon area. Regulations made under this Act prohibit the payment of grants to families who have not been resident in Northern Ireland for six months prior to resettlement in the Craigavon area and accordingly no such grants have been paid.
