asked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement on the report of the Royal Commission on Standards of Conduct in Public Life.

The report was published today. The Government will 237W be giving careful consideration to its recommendations and will make a statement in due course. I should like to thank Lord Salmon and the members of the Royal Commission for the work which they have done.
