§ Mr. Brothertonasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether the definition of the Furniture Industry Development Council Order 1948 (as amended) of the word "furniture" includes television sets with or without doors and with or without legs.
Mr. Alan WilliamsIt is for the Furniture Development Council to decide in the first instance which products fall within the statutory definition. I understand that the council regards television cabinets of all types as furniture for the purposes of the order.
