§ Mr. MarksThe most recent information available is for 1975, when at least 35 per cent. of drivers killed in accidents were over the legal limit. The number of other road users killed in accidents caused by such drivers is not known, but it is likely that total fatalities due to drinking and driving exceeded 1,000.
