§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will give an assurance that 213W in support of the Government's declared prices and incomes policy and attacks upon inflation he will refuse to adopt the Common Market's recommendation of taxing margarine to make it as expensive as butter so as to overcome the butter mountain in the European countries of the EEC.
§ Mr. PeartDetailed proposals are not yet available and will have to be considered in the context of the Commission's ideas on the special action needed in the milk sector, but we shall resist any measures which are inflationary or bear unreasonably on other sectors.
