§ Mr. John FraserOn 31st March 1976 the membership of the council consisted of the chairman, the 12 chairmen of the regional gas consumers' councils, who areex officio members of the National Council, and nine others. The Chairman of the National Council receives a salary of £2,000 per annum. None of the members receives a salary in that capacity.
