§ Mr. John Pageasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will amend the conditions of entry for courses within the training opportunities scheme to enable those who have completed teacher training but are unable to obtain posts to seek other jobs as recommended by him.
§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that there are no proposals at present to amend the Training Opportunities Scheme in favour of those who have completed teacher training but are unable to obtain posts. The conditions of the scheme are, however, kept under constant review in the light of changing economic conditions.
