asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will take steps to extend the Protection of Eyes Regulations to all employees at work.

Mr. John Grant

The Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission informs me that the Protection of Eyes Regulations, 1974, which came into operation on 10th April 1975, are included in the general revision of the Factories Act legislation currently taking place and that an extension of the Regulations across the board will then be considered.
