Friend the Member for Ormskirk (Mr. Kilroy-Silk) on 2nd March —[Vol. 906, c.524–6]—this question has been receiving consideration interdepartmentally in conjunction with local authority associations. We are continuing to explore the possibilities of greater use. However, such use already occurs in many areas, and is a matter for local authorities within their powers and within the resources available to them.
