§ Mr. Ian Stewartasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what views were put to him by the central bankers of the world in relation to his policy 9th June (Official Report, c. 1557) that there is no economic case whatever for further cuts in public expenditure during the preseent year.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 5th July 1976; Vol. 914, c. 420], gave the following information:
No views have been put to my right hon. Friend that would cause him to change the judgment he expressed on 9th June.
