HC Deb 02 July 1976 vol 914 c342W
Mr. Brocklebank-Fowler

asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will investigate the explosion at the Dow Chemical factory in King's Lynn and publish a report on the findings.

Mr. John Grant,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 1st July 1976]; gave the following information:

I am advised by the Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that the explosion is being investigated by the District Inspector of Factories, with the assistance of an explosives inspector from headquarters. The commission has no plans at the moment to publish the inspector's report. The industry will be advised in the usual way by the Health and Safety Executive of any significant findings about risks from the material involved.
