§ Sir P. Bryanasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, in spite of the recommendation to the contrary by the Layfield Committee, it remains the policy of Her Majesty's Government that agricultural land should not be liable for rating.
§ Mr. BishopHer Majesty's Government will not be reaching a conclusion on this recommendation of the Layfield Committee Report until after the end of the consultation period announced by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment.
