§ Mr. Hicksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what guidance is given to local valuation and rating offices concerning hotels and guest houses which are classified as commercial premises and where the proprietor and his family live on the premises in a self-contained unit of accommodation.
§ Mr. OakesMy right hon. Friend has issued no guidance to rating authorities directed specifically to this situation, and I understand from my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer that he has issued no such guidance to valuation officers, but if the hon. Member has any particular issue in mind I will look into it.
