HC Deb 29 January 1976 vol 904 c335W
Mr. Terry Walker

asked the Secretary of State for Industry why Mr. William Ruckethaus was retained by the British Government as a counsel for the Concorde hearing in Washington; what fee was paid to him, and if he will ensure that Mr. Ruckethaus is not retained for future hearings.

Mr. Kaufman

Mr. Ruckethaus was retained by Her Majesty's Government to offer legal advice on Concorde operations in the United States, and is paid according to the work done. His advice has already proved useful and we intend to continue to seek it whenever appropriate.
