§ 25. Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what assurances he has had from the Government of Sri Lanka that adequate compensation will be paid for British owned estates which are being nationalised.
§ Mr. RowlandsAs was stated by my noble Friend in another place on 11th December 1975 we have sought and obtained assurances from the Government of Sri Lanka that they will pay compensation to the former owners of nationalised estates in accordance with international law.
