asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list the overseas students currently engaged in full-time studies by their countries of origin.

For students in all British institutions in 1973–74 these statistics have been published by the British Council in "Statistics of Overseas Students in Britain 1973–74".

I will write to the hon. Member giving the figures for students attending universities in the United Kingdom and colleges of further education and former colleges of education in England and Wales for 1974–75, the latest year available.
