§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether the Government propose to continue their scheme under which operators are granted a 3 per cent. interest subsidy on credits to finance the purchase of oil rigs manufactured in the United Kingdom; and whether it is the intention of the Government to extend the scheme to other EEC partners in compliance with the Commission's representation.

The Offshore Supplies Office interest relief grant scheme is reviewed from time to time. Naturally the Government are considering the representations made by the Commission.
