HC Deb 26 January 1976 vol 904 c77W
Mr. Wrigglesworth

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give details of the numbers and salaries of the extra public relations and information officers recruited by his Department and agencies for which it is responsible between 1970–71 and 1974–75.

Mr. John Morris

One additional principal information officer, one senior information officer and three information officers were recruited to my Department during this period. This was offset by the reduction of two assistant information officer posts. The current salary scale of a principal information officer is £5,680 to £7,450, of a senior information officer £4,900 to £5,900 and of an information officer £3,900 to £4,700.
