HC Deb 23 January 1976 vol 903 cc593-4W
Mr. Dykes

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will take steps to increase the tax offset entitlement on luncheon vouchers, in the light of the increase in commercial meal prices in recent years.

Mr. Robert Sheldon

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 22nd January 1976; Vol. 903, c. 551–2], gave the following information:

I do not think an increase in the concessional tax-free limit for luncheon vouchers would be justified.
