§ Mr. Gouldasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will seek to amend the Road Traffic Act so as to make it an offence for an employer to allow an employee with only a provisional licence and unaccompanied by a qualified driver to drive other employees during the course of his employment.
§ Dr. GilbertI am advised that an employer who knowingly permitted such an action could be prosecuted for aiding and abetting an offence under Section 88(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1972.
