§ Sir George Youngasked the Secretary of State for the Environment at what cost, and for what purpose, two elevated sections have been added to the hard shoulder near the Slough interchange of the M4 motorway.
§ Mr. MarksPolice observation platforms have been erected on the M4 motorway south of Bray about 3 kilometres—1.9 miles—west of interchange No. 7. These allow police vehicles to park clear of the hard shoulder and where they can better observe traffic flows and driver behaviour and can be seen to be so doing. The cost of each platform was about £1,300.
