Sir George Young

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how much money has been spent from October 1974 to October 1975 on the employment of locum and agency doctors in National Health Service hospitals;

(2) how much money, normally spent on extra duty allowances, has been saved since junior hospital doctors started their 40-hour working week.
