Mr. Crouchasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps he intends to take to alter the regulations regarding British citizenship and the issue of British passports to the children of marriages where the mother of the children is British, in view of the requirements of the Sex Discrimination Act.
§ Mr. Alexander W. LyonThe Sex Discrimination Act made no change in the British Nationality Acts, which regulate nationality status. The transmission of citizenship by descent from men and women born in or otherwise connected with the United Kingdom is among the questions being considered in the review of nationality law which is in progress.
