§ Mr. Warrenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received against the proposal to build a road across Duxford Aerodrome, Cambridgeshire, the preservation of which is being sought as a monument to the deeds of allied air forces during World War II.
§ Mr. MarksThe Duxford Aviation Society has suggested a realignment of the confirmed route of the M11 Cambridge Western Bypass so that it avoids the main runway at Duxford Airfield. Letters of support for this proposal have been received from several people, mainly members of the Society. However, there is considerable opposition locally to their proposal, which would bring the road closer to Duxford and Whittlesford villages and seriously delay the start of works on this much needed bypass.
