§ Mr. Hoosonasked the Secretary of State for Wales what help his Department is giving to the efforts of local authorities and others to secure any means of industrial employment in the Machynlleth area; and, in particular, what help they are giving to the advancement of the idea of using the old power station at Felingerrig for industrial purposes.
§ Mr. Barry JonesThe full range of financial assistance in development areas is available to new firms, setting up, or firms expanding in the area. I announced, in May 1975, 2 x 3,000 nursery units to be built at Machynlleth and preparations are proceeding. There are problems about access to the power station site, and these are being discussed with the potential developer.
