§ Mr. HattersleyAn Exchange of Notes constituting a new Diego Garcia Agreement which formalises Her Majesty's Government's previously announced agreement to United States plans for the expansion was signed yesterday and has been laid before Parliament today. Two supplementary documents, one covering service arrangements and the other giving 285W more details of the expansion, have been placed in the Library. The Agreement defines the scope and purpose of the expanded facility and provides for consultation and joint decision on its use.
