§ Mr. Whiteheadasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he has now reached a decision about the future of the Adult Literacy Resource Agency.
§ Mr. MulleySubject to parliamentary approval, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and I are ready to make funds available to the Agency for the next two financial years. We are arranging discussions with the National and Scottish Institutes of Adult Education, the Agency and the local authority associations to decide on a programme of work during this period.
