HL Deb 25 February 1976 vol 368 cc808-9WA
Lord FERRIER

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in view of the fact that the recent issue of Vol. 353 only completes July 1974, they are satisfied that the supply of bound copies of Hansard is as up-to-date as possible; and whether they can arrange that HMSO accelerate publication so that less than one year's Reports lie unbound.

The LORD PRIVY SEAL (Lord Shepherd)

Publication of the Bound Volumes of House of Lords' debates was delayed because of the prolonged effects of the three months' industrial dispute at the Stationery Office in 1974 and the exceptionally heavy demands for Parliamentary printing last year. Arrears are now being overtaken; three more volumes will be published during the next month and others will follow at regular intervals. My aim is to publish each volume within one year of the period to which it relates.
