Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) if he is satisfied with the present arrangements for compensating victims of blight in residential areas near opencast coal mining sites;

(2) what facilities exist for the payment of blight compensation to residents in areas where opencast coal mining is carried out.
