§ Mr. Warrenasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether bearing in mind the high rate of unemployment in the United Kingdom, he proposes to issue work permits for the additional social workers to be recruited from the United States of America beyond the 26 reported as having been recruited already.
§ Mr. John FraserMy Department will issue work permits for social workers from the United States, or elsewhere, only if they are well qualified and required for jobs which cannot be filled from the resident labour force.
