§ Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will take steps to clarify with the EEC Commission whether the Dutch Potato Board is contravening Common Market regulations in placing restrictions on potato exports to Great Britain; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. HattersleyI understand that the Dutch authorities have already notified the Commission of the measures which they announced on 16th February to control the export of ware potatoes. Potato production and sale are not, at present, included within the common agricultural policy. I do not, therefore, think it appropriate to raise this question with the Commission.
