Mr. Jopling

(2) to what extent the car park revenues at the Lake District National Park Centre at Brockhole have failed to cover the running expenses of the establishment, in each year since the property was originally purchased into public ownership;

(3) how much money has been spent in capital expenditure on the Lake District National Park Centre at Brockhole in each year, including the year in which the property was first purchased into public ownership.

Mr. Denis Howell

The National Park Centre at Brockhole is run by the Lake District Special Planning Board. The detailed information will be available to the Board but is not readily in the possession of either my Department or the Countryside Commission.
