§ Mr. BishopThe Fishery Protection Squadron of the Royal Navy and the Ministry's Sea Fisheries Inspectorate ensure that vessels of all types observe our fisheries limits and gear regulations. Special attention is paid to the Channel area where beam trawlers operate. In recent weeks a number of beam trawlers have been inspected. All were found to have legal gear and none has been found fishing within the six-mile limit.
