§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy how many scientific staff are likely to be transferred from Winfrith by the end of 1976 as a result of the closure of the Dragon project.
§ Mr. EadieI am informed by the Atomic Energy Authority that about 40 staff, not all of them scientific staff, have been told they may be transferred to other AEA establishments as a result of the closure of Dragon.
§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy what steps he is taking to bring additional research and development work to Winfrith to compensate for the loss incurred by the establishment due to the closure of the Dragon project.
§ Mr. EadieI am informed by the Atomic Energy Authority that, although some redeployment of staff will be necessary as a result of the closure of Dragon, the Winfrith establishment has a major and continuing programme of work in support of the SGHWR and fast reactor systems and on safety and general reactor studies.
