asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many square feet of office space have been constructed by the Mid-Wales Development Corporation in Newtown since 1967; and how many are required.

Since the establishment of the Mid-Wales Development Corporation in December 1967 it has completed the Ladywell House office block comprising some 50,000 sq ft of office space. An assessment of requirements is primarily a matter for the Development Corporation.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the latest number of staff employed by the Mid-Wales Development Corporation in Newtown; and in which capacities.

The Development Corporation employ 23 administrative, professional, technical and clerical staff and 11 manual workers.

Up to the end of 1975 the Corporation had completed 641 houses, and a further 189 were under construction.
