HC Deb 18 February 1976 vol 905 c754W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the numbers of staff in each of the grades of executive officer and above in the administrative group employed in the Inland Revenue; and how many persons of each of these grades are employed in Scotland, showing the figures absolutely, and the latter as a percentage of the former.

Mr. Robert Sheldon

The information is as follows. The figures relate to staff in post on 2nd February 1976:

companies pay the fares of wives to enable them to fly out and join their husbands, this is also regarded as a taxable benefit if the husband is earning more than £5,000.
