§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish as part of his forthcoming review a table showing for each of the last 10 years the approximate ton-miles of freight carried by British Railways under the heads; coal and coke, bulk liquids, other minerals, containers, other freights and other suitable headings, together with total or categorised income.
§ Dr. GilbertI shall be publishing later this year the first volume of a new series of transport statistics; this will include the tonnes/kilometres of freight carried by British Railways each year since 1964, split among nine commodity groups. The annual reports of the British Railways Board shows the income from freight traffic split between six headings.
