§ Baroness BIRKSave in exceptional circumstances, new local authority housing is required to comply with minimum Parker Morris standards. These include a heating standard the objective of which is to maintain adequate warmth within dwellings. The standard does not relate to the kind of heating installation which is a matter for individual local authorities to decide.
